The word Alto means “to stand tall” in Italian.
In a market where creativity is allegedly on its deathbed, we believe standing tall is more important than ever.
We are a creative company that is structured to make industry-changing work and partner exactly in the way our clients require: Centered around a lean core of highly experienced players, our team is scaled to fit the needs of each client and project. This allows us to source the best, rather than simply relying on what's around. We've collaborated with Oscar and Grammy-winning musicians, Emmy-winning comedy writers and savant coders.
Alto is led by Hannes Ciatti, previously co-founder of JohnXHannes, which was named one of the “Top 10 World's Most Innovative Companies” by Fast Company in 2019, awarded #3 Worldwide Independent Agency at Cannes Lions and twice named AdAge’s “U.S. Small Agency of the Year." Hannes is joined by the former JohnXHannes leadership team.
We are collaborators. We know the challenges a brand faces will not be solved alone; they must be faced together. That's why we don't pitch for free, and we're selective about the projects we take on. We spend our time and energy focusing on actual clients, whose money goes to thinking, creativity and execution — not overhead. The result is work that makes our partners and us proud, and inspires the world.
We are fans of brands that are strong in belief and brave in action. We partner with companies at pivotal moments in their history to develop advertising, entertainment and innovation that will push their brand forward and stand the test of time.
We've been fortunate enough to work with Fortune 25 companies like Google, Nike and Apple, and help launch Silicon Valley unicorns Squarespace and Expensify. We have facilitated mutually beneficial partnerships between brands and cultural influencers like John Malkovich, Serena Williams, Neymar Jr, Gisele Bündchen, Ana de Armas and Lil Wayne.
We love companies that are good for people or good for the planet, and we're proud partners with Montefiore and the NRDC.
